Mission
The mission of The
Learning Center (TLC) Online at The English Center is to provide workforce development related Adult Basic
Education (ABE), GED Preparation, and post-secondary adult vocational
programs to adults by crossing traditional geographic boundaries
through the use of evolving Internet and computer-based technology. The
district was created as a result of a Workforce Development
Capitalization Incentive Grant funded by the Florida Post-Secondary
Education Planning Commission, the Florida Department of Education, and
the Jobs and Education Partnership Regional Board.
