This course teaches students how to use the beginning
features of Microsoft Excel. Students will be able to
identify cells, columns, lines, editing, formatting,
create, open, close, print, save and page setup.
Access

This course enables students to design and create database
objects including tables, queries, forms and reports.
In addition, students will master filtering by selection,
importing data into an Access table and inserting fields
into a table design.
Students
will learn how to use the advanced database features
of Access including: adding and moving fields in a table
design; adding graphics to a form or report; using OLE;
creating a command button on a form; creating a custom
dialog box; developing databases; creating a form based
on joined tables; creating a macro to control form properties;
creating single- and multi-parameter queries.
CorelDRAW 10.0 (B070600.D1)
Teaches how to use drawing tools on the computer to
simulate most of the tools artist would use manually.
But it goes beyond by giving the ability to make adjustments
on the drawings, and to apply several more effects such
as extruding, blending, colorizing and embossing. The
course encourages the students to be creative and develop
their potential as artists. Students also learn to merge
photographs with their drawings, and how to prepare
artwork for both the Web and the printed page.

Covers such photo editing tools as scanning, tonal adjustments,
hues and saturation. Also the students learn to paint
original artwork from black and white sketches or totally
from scratch on the computer, to create composites and
collages. The proper use of selection tools and the
effective use of levels along with neat tricks with
lots of filters help the graduates meet their goals
to work in the graphic arts field.

This program is very similar to CorelDRAW in that it
covers techniques for drawing on the computer. Illustrator
is the defacto standard in the professional graphic
arts field for computerized drawing programs. The course
includes instruction on how to merge photos with drawings,
how to apply special effects, special brushes and all
the artistic filters necessary for a professional drawing
program. It is designed specially for the printed page
but its latest enhancements make it ideal for creating
Web graphics also.
