| This course can make you a successful professional in cosmetology.
As a graduate, you will have a diversity of jobs opened to you
including hairstylist, colorist, nail technician, educator,
platform artist or make up artist. You may choose to work in
an independent salon, a spa salon, a national franchise or an
independent chain.
Students will learn the step-by-step procedures
for manicuring, pedicure, tips, wraps, acrylic nails and basic
nail art procedures as well as to identify the chemicals commonly
used in the nail salon, how they can cause harm, how to protect
themselves and their clients and how to read MSDS (material
safety data sheet).
Developing skills such as client consultations, retail sales,
and client follow-ups, is nowadays as important as learning
the skills of hairstyling, manicuring, and esthetics.
